Its fun going through the thought process

Jasmine will be perfecting our video at home followed by some rendering and I have to adjust our DVD sleeve and sticker because the one I initially done came out wrong in size so I'll print another copy tomorrow. I'm glad to see that everyone is almost done I look forward in viewing everyone's final work.

At first i was like omg After Effects hard
but with help from bryan koh
i learnt that its super fun
i feel happy
the ending is like the credits will not scroll from bottom to top

Our group reviewed the tape today and see the footage
So far we finished filming and have all the scenes needed so far
now we need to export

today we got to shoot the last scene with my bro

haha so we shot the 2 scenes and het ready to export tomorrow
we also dicussed how the video is goin to churn out and all the other stuffs that is needed in the video.

After going through the footage on the camera, so far the footage we have captured seems to be sufficient and I hope we won't have anymore shooting to do.

Our group did not meet today.
cuz around 70% of the fiming is done

i been running the past 2 days during filming
for my thief and the credits scene
having cramps now
other then that its all well
our group is having fun as well as getting the video on
i enjoyed the thief scene
where i have to wear a mask and roll on the ground and act suspiciously

Our filming began today. Quite a familiar feeling since I've done it before in secondary school (I just started VidFun this block) and our group certainly works well together in terms of setting up the scenes and the different ideas we can throw in on top of the ones we have already. Add in a good measure of humor and all is well. Of course it's not all fun and games but it definitely helps. I think we've learned more about proper planning and time management. Today went all right for me..
we had MOI interim 1 today
All the group that presented did well
Our group presented great..
After presenting, amanda gave a few feedback
she feels that we should not do the animation on the front and back
coz it doesnt play well to our weakness
out of 3 of us..i can;t draw that well
and none of us wants to go to animation
she is worried that bcoz of the animation, it might screw up the video
she suggested that we try doing the whole video a whole video production
The joker crew is now thinking of what to do next
Do we still continue wif the cute animated guy or we scrap it and get a new thing in?
Tomorrow we meeting up with amanda again to consult on the idea and refine even more if not better it
And also ask her to sign the request form fot the camera so we can start production as soon as wed

Tuesday

Our 2nd day of Pre-Production week. Joker met up in school today to work on our storyboarding. I think we did a pretty good job, could have been a little more detailed but it definitely works well. From there we went on to our script.

Two column scripts are a bit of a pain but hey, it's all part of being in MOI. We only managed to complete half so we'll finish it up tomorrow. Right now, we have our proposal and powerpoint left and we're done for pre-production and Interim 1.

Friday

It's a friday. Which is why our group decided not to meet up and continue our work at home. We've split the workload up evenly with each of us doing a part of the entire project and we're gonna compile it on sunday, the day before our presentation. So far so good and all we have to do is make sure our work is ship-shape and ready.

Today, wednesday

Today i met up with joe and jas for scripwriting. We had done the storyboard yesterday and half of the script. So far so good. The story is coming out pretty well. Our storyboard was the most fun to do as it was funny and brain stopping tryin to piece the scene and story up good. After last night i thought i was braindead.haha. Today went pretty well too. we continued with the script and it was me n joe's turn to write out the script.I did not think that writing a dialogue for a story would be this hard before. Its diffrent when you are writing for your own video.We discussed alot on what the dialogue would be and was it apropriate for the scene.Tomoorow we are meeting up to do mood board and the powerpoint presentation for interim one. wish us luck

Friday We had no class on friday but there was consultation.we talk to amanda about the final chosen idea.it is going to be the detective story. and yes my brother will play the role of the detective. he got no choice but to assist and help.haha.spent the day thinking of wat to do. the rundown on the week next week. Next week is pre-production week so it is going to be along week.we need to get ready storyboards, script mood board all in time for interim one. i think with perfect planning it could be done by thursday i hope.

There was no lesson today but we had consultation with Amanda. For this session we had to present our final idea for the video and get her approval to begin our pre-production. So basically, we're going with both Hazziq's "Detective" story and Jas' spy idea for our final video. We're trying to go for a humorous sort of genre for our video with a little bit of mystery in it.

So far our story hasn't been completely planned out properly, but I guess that's what pre-production week is for, but as for the actors, we're going with the three of us as the "suspects" and one more person as the "detective" who will probably be Hazziq's brother. Amanda gave us quite a bit of good suggestions and we'll definitely take them into consideration.

I think one week for pre-production seems sufficient, although I haven't taken VidFun so I'm not too sure about the process, but some other groups seem to have quite ambitious ideas which might take them quite some time to work out.

so we met up to come up a idea
for tomorrow's consultation.

after our presentation,
we thought of combinding hazziq
and mine idea as one.
is the detective and spy idea.

the idea goes like this,
someone will steal our painted art work.
and the next day the detective will
come and investigate.
he will start to ask 3 of us question.
there is where we link in our modules.
and we will link up to to find the suspect.
and how are we suppose to end it?
hahaz. the detective will start to chase the stealer.
it will be quite funky.
our video cannot be too serious.
hahaz.

it will be quite a interesting idea.
hope amanda will give us more comment.

Today was Individual presentation for the 2nd batch of people
One by one people went up and presented their idea
i did not present today as i have presented yesterday.

Igot feedback from amanda that i should follow up on the detective story as it appeals more to her.The ending is lame as i did not think through it well enough.
The other idea is a gameshow idea.
Funny how i got the idea.
i went around a superhero storyline.
But after watching a soccer highlight show i got an idea.
They had this like mystery case.

After every one had presented and amanda had given her opinions
she went over how presentation has to be done
and she showed how a gannt table
its this table which tells about the production
when and what being done during the productions time

Amanda then says we can start picking our final chosen storyline/theme of video
So jas me and joe decided to meet up earlytommorow to think of what to do.

It's another Monday. Looks like for everyone, the weekend was spent preparing for our presentation for these two days. Both my teammates have presented and I have to say their ideas seem pretty good and they even managed to merge their ideas. Good start for the group and it'll be my turn to present my two ideas tomorrow so hopefully it'll be good and maybe have some more ideas to add to the group idea. Sharing is caring. Time constraint was brought up in class again and I think it definitely is a key factor in what will make everyone's video look good or fantastic. Yes AH! My turn to blog again.
So basically my group have finish the exercise. kudos to group joker.
i share the same sentiments as Joe on our group.

Okay.So yesterday Amanda told us that there will be another MOI brief today at one of the LT.
Wahidah will be spearheading on the talk.
There have been talk of classes doing Animatic and some doing video so it is all confusing.
We received a new brief on the Project 1 assignment.
Now they have standardize it.
All the work that will be handed in will be a video.

So now no one will be doing on animatic.
and Wahidah have cleared the air.
After talking and going through with us the brief all, we were shown example by last years year 1's.
Seriously after seeing it i was amazed.The videos were so cool.
Except for the Dr MOI. Not that the story was bad.
Just the way they interpret it was wrong.

So i know i would not go that path even though one of my idea got super heroes in it.

It's been a week and I'm back. This is gonna be my one and only post this week so I'll try and make it count. All six groups had to present their ideas for the 3rd Age Council event and most if not all of the groups seem to have had good ideas. Due to the fact of possible disputes, I won't go into detail.

Team Joker proposed a carnival at Bedok Reservoir and I think our presentation went pretty well. We had to skip the first few slides cos' all the groups basically had the same info such as the problems and blah blah blah. But I still think it would have been relevant. Anyway, I think we brought our idea forward almost crystal clear even though Amanda pointed out some problems we might encounter such as the senior citizens not being able to play soccer. Our slides seemed to be quite detailed and I'm glad Amanda commented well on that because I was afraid it would have been too much.

So I guess that's it for the 3rd Age Council Exercise. Right now, our next exercise is the individual presentation to show our ideas for the 7 - 9 min video/animatic/dunno what. (There's gonna be a lecture to settle the issue about what we can do for the 7 - 9 min cos' so far everyone's confused)

Amanda gave us a guide to follow for our proposal and after last week's consultation I really got to work on my idea. Initially, I had 2 ideas, as required, but one sounded like a last minute idea so... scrap that. The other idea I have is that of a "MTV Cribs" style video.

So as you can see, It's gonna be sort of a tour around the relevant areas of the modules I'm choosing. but we met up in school
to finish up our powerpoint.

as for our individual assignment.
i've came up with 2 ideas.
one is a non MOI student trying to find
out what is MOI all about,
and second one is like a spy.
a hidden camera will be following our group
and we will intro our work.
amanda said both is very interesting.

so im blogging again back

Today, we had a consultation time with amanda for our individual ideas for next monday presentation.
I did this storybook and comic book style but need to work more on the storyline since i have the style already.
I do not have much of a storyline and amanda asked me to look more into it and make a nice story into this and how i am going to make all 3 group members integrated into my comic book style.
I'm thinking of making them evolve slowly into their superhero of choice but might twerk a little bit.
I've met up with my group jas n joe n decided to start on the powerpoint for the 3rd age exercise tomorrow since it is due on wednesday.
I have already did my survey today and will be adding this into the exercise.
I hope our idea for the 3rd age of having the carnival is good enough. :)

No class today, so stayed at home to add more research to what we already have. Amanda mentioned that we have a solid idea which needs some tweaking here and there and more research to back it up. Our idea is of a large scale and I believe it's definitely plausible just that, as Amanda already said, we need more insight to the elderly and how they think because even if our ideas seem good, the elderly might not be into it or might not even be able to participate. One such problem was a walk around Bedok reservoir which is quite a long walk and some senior citizens might not be able to keep up. Right now, the group will disband and accumulate as much relevant research as possible to link to our idea and brainstorm again on Monday to finalize our plan.

had training today.

no lesson today!
we had our consultation at 1pm.
we came up with this idea of carnival.
the carnival inclusive of
sports, games, concert and movie screening.

As for our plan, we have some problem with it.
for sports, walking around the reservoir.
amanda said it might be too tough for senior
citizen age above 80 to walk finish the walk.
so we will discuss more and change a little.

soccer and line dance have no problem with it.
but as for dragon boating,
just like the first problem.
senior citizen age above 80
might not take up this tough sports.
so we discussed with amanda and came up with solution.
the youth will row and the senior citizens
will just cheer for them.
it will be a good exprience for them.

As for games,
amanda said playing of Wii is a good idea.
but as for the rest,
it is too individual.
so we need to change it.
and we need to think about the prizes.

As for concert,
amanda said youth might not like old songs
and the senior citizen might not like new songs.
so we need plan more into details for concert.

And lastly,
as for movie screening with picnic.
amanda suggested that we can
come up with a package for it.
for example, coming with a old folk and a children
will get free matt or goodie bag.
we are still dicussing about it.

that's all about it.
we will discuss more and be more detail.

okay..today we went to school early because ther is a talk cum video showing of works bt victric thng
his works was mechalonic and abirr strange to me but the one on the mole was funny and good
i enjoyed it alot.
he gave us moi-ians fresh insights in his work and how a fimaker does his works.
it did make me more interested in video more as i understand the ways of a filmaker.
after the thing we went to amanda's class.
she got us in our own group and went through with us on the final.
she showed us an animatic example of the gorillaz dare video
if i say so myself..IT WAS SO COOL!
then after that she wanted us to go in our groups but individually think of what we would do for the final.we each thought of 3 of our best subjects and wrote down why we like them.den we are to think of the format on how we depict this animatic.
jas gives this idea of bring in a non moi student to ask what moi is all about.
i still thinking about a few..one is doing like a game
after goin arnd a reviewing our ideas, amanda explain on the final again and stress not to think to much on the format but more on the idea

Alright, 2nd post of the blog. It's Tuesday night, i'm stoned, tired and lost. But anyway, started class today with a briefing from Amanda. She explained our various group and individual assignments. Of course I remember it all but it'll be too detailed to list them all here. We broke up into our groups to discuss what we have researched and the ideas we've come up with and brainstorm for a main idea. I think that our group has a pretty good and solid idea and we've got a bit of research to back us up but of course we need more. I'm sure it's gonna be easy to work with Jas n Hazziq so I doubt our group will have any problems. Nothing much else for today so I'll end here. Peace out (:

that encourages the seniors to improve their physical wellness:

It seeks to provide fun-filled evenings for the seniors

i personally feels that it is a very good event.

it can engage both youngster and senior citizens.

a good way for them to bond and enjoy themself.

both can learn from each other at the same time.

they made a chinese one for senior citizens too.
